Decay: The Mare follows Sam, a man struggling with addiction who checks into an institution called Reaching Dreams in the hope of turning his life around. On the very first night something goes wrong, and the quiet building becomes a nightmare he cannot wake from. You explore it in first person, room by room, examining objects, collecting items and solving riddles that open the way forward. Dim corridors, barred windows and walls covered in notes build a heavy, uneasy mood, and the sound design makes every silence feel tense. The game is a homage to Resident Evil, Silent Hill and 1990s horror adventures such as Phantasmagoria and Gabriel Knight. This release brings all three chapters together, including the third chapter that finishes Sam's story.
