About Decline's Drops
Decline's Drops is a hand-drawn 2D platform-brawler developed and published by the French studio Le Moulin aux Bulles, released on Steam on 10 October 2024.
You play Globule, a small puppet carved from oak and birch who straps on boxing gloves after her garden is destroyed. Combat borrows the move sets of platform fighters such as Super Smash Bros. and Rivals of Aether, while the level design takes cues from Yoshi's Island and Shovel Knight. Six hand-crafted worlds, each a gentle satire of pollution, animal exploitation and overconsumption, end with one of the six Hydra heads of the Eternal Corp. Serge, a genetically modified monkey, trades helpful tools for the Drops you collect, and the soundtrack comes from ModalModule with sound design by Pixel Audio.
