About Draco and the Seven Scales

Draco and the Seven Scales is the complete standalone game for one captain. You take the helm of a pirate whose voyage is meant to save his greatest treasure, while a kraken’s bargain hangs over the journey.

Travel switches between walking and sailing a ship across an expansive overworld. Variable routes through the seven seas reveal new dungeons, items and puzzles that need both forms of movement.

Each of the seven overhead dungeons mixes enemies, items and puzzles with battles on land and at sea. Named fights include the Great Macaw of Paradise, rival Captain Henny and Her Majesty’s Royal Armada. More than 15 items support combat, puzzle solving and fishing, and upgrades raise the ship’s capabilities and cannon strength.

Play stays with a single captain. Time divides between overhead exploration, dungeon fights and short conversations with locals, some of whom ask for help and offer treasure. Gameboy-inspired pixel art by Manelzin and area shanties by Tohomoko carry the voyage.
