About Enemy Engaged: Apache vs Havoc
Enemy Engaged: Apache vs Havoc is a combat helicopter simulator developed by Razorworks and first released in 1998. East meets West in an apocalyptic clash of the superpowers as the American Apache Longbow and the Russian Havoc go head to head in the skies. The game was built around a simple promise: easily accessible yet deeply challenging gameplay, an intense and absorbing atmosphere and very high speeds that make every sortie a real flying experience. Decades later it remains a favourite among fans of classic flight simulation on PC.
Two combat helicopters are fully simulated: the US AH-64D Apache Longbow and the Russian Mi-28N Havoc B. Each is modelled in detailed and articulated 3D, with authentic flight dynamics that reward smooth handling and careful use of terrain. You learn to hover behind ridges, pop up to find targets and slip away before the enemy can respond. Choosing a side changes your aircraft, its weapons and the way you approach each fight, so flying for one superpower and then the other feels like two different campaigns.
Three vast combat zones host countless missions and dynamic campaigns. Beneath them runs a non-linear and constantly evolving conflict fought by AI-controlled units on the ground and in the air. Battles continue whether or not you are involved, front lines move and the situation you take off into is shaped by everything that happened before. This gives the game the feeling of being just one cog in a big war machine, where your successes and failures matter but never decide the war on their own.
Enemy Engaged: Apache vs Havoc is a single-player game in English for 64-bit Windows 7, 8.1 and 10. The requirements are tiny by modern standards, with only 2 GB of RAM and 100 MB of storage needed, so it runs on almost any current PC. For pilots who enjoy authentic rotorcraft handling, sprawling campaigns and a battlefield that feels alive, this classic simulator offers a deep and absorbing experience. Strap in, choose your helicopter and fly into a war that keeps moving around you.
