About Evergarden

Evergarden is a puzzle game developed and published by the independent studio Flippfly and released in August 2018. You arrive in a magical forest world with a hexagon board at its centre, a mysterious creature nearby and secrets lurking in the shadows. Why are you here, and what will you do next? The game answers slowly, wrapping a deceptively simple puzzle in a gentle, atmospheric adventure.

At its heart Evergarden is about growing a garden. Plants sprout across the hexagon tiles, and you combine matching plants into new and stranger forms. Each move shifts the board, so planning ahead pays off: clever combinations create larger plants, open space and score more points, while careless moves can leave the garden cramped. The rules are easy to learn, but finding the best chain of moves becomes wonderfully absorbing.

You are never alone in the forest. Fen, a curious creature guide, helps you find your way and gradually reveals what has happened to this world. As you play, the forest slowly comes back to life, new areas open up and deeply hidden secrets wait to be unearthed. Small objects, notes and strange rituals hint at a bigger story for players who enjoy looking closely and connecting the clues.

The presentation supports the calming rhythm of play. Soft, glowing visuals move from warm garden tones to violet crystal caves, and a gentle soundtrack keeps the mood relaxed. Short sessions are perfect for winding down, while longer ones let you chase high scores and discoveries. It is rated 0 and suitable for all ages.
