About For The King
For The King is a roguelike strategy RPG developed by IronOak Games and published by Curve Games. Steam release date: 19 April 2018.
The King is dead and the realm of Fahrul has fallen into chaos, so a small party of unlikely heroes sets out to restore order. You move across a procedurally generated hex map like pieces on a board game, rolling slot-style checks to travel, search, trade and fight. Combat is turn-based, with each character's stats deciding the odds of landing attacks, spells and abilities, and a shared pool of lives keeps every decision tense. Classes such as blacksmith, hunter, minstrel and scholar can be mixed freely, and you can play solo controlling all three heroes or team up in local and online co-op. Sea voyages, dungeons, towns and changing day and night cycles add variety, and each run plays out differently.
