About Forgotten Seas
Forgotten Seas is a pirate survival game developed by Pangea Game Studios and published by indie.io, released in October 2025. You are lost in the Bermuda Void, a strange realm where the ocean is endless and islands fade in and out of existence, seemingly suspended in the time of the Dread Pirates. These sailors are neither alive nor truly dead, and they roam the waters in search of prey, so you must craft a ship and take to the waves.
Ships are magic in the Void and essential to survival. Even loaded with food, tools and weapons, every vessel fits into a bottle, from the tiniest schooner to the greatest dreadnought, and can be unleashed at a moment’s notice. You can store your ship for exploration, build a custom fleet with a ship for every occasion, or lure pirates expecting an easy fight and surprise them with a full broadside from a man o war that appears out of nowhere.
On land you use a robust crafting and building system to erect a dock, then head inland to seek lost treasures and rare resources while piecing together the mystery of the Void. Islands can vanish just as you reach your prize, leaving you racing to the shore. Treasure maps are torn and scattered, so you must assemble them first. Combat uses an intuitive dual wielding system on land and deck, while sea battles demand care with speed, heading and enemy positions.
Storms, whirlpools and strange beasts make every voyage tense, and the game offers 37 achievements and partial controller support. It runs on Windows 10 (64 bit) and supports English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese and Polish. The minimum setup needs an Intel Core i5-6600, 12 GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 960 with 4 GB and 5 GB of storage. The game holds a USK 12 rating and is ideal for players who enjoy pirate adventures, crafting ships, hunting treasure and tense naval battles on a sea that keeps changing.
