About Getting Out Alive

Getting Out Alive is a single-player first-person shooter by the independent studio DIG Games, released on Steam on 4 September 2023.

The premise is direct: a man trapped behind enemy lines has to fight his way out of hostile territory and reach a safe zone. Across several maps you move through walled villages, forest camps and fenced compounds, switching between an assault rifle, a sidearm and a combat knife while clearing out the soldiers in your way. It is a small, straightforward shooter built for short sessions rather than a sprawling campaign.

Key Features

  • Escape storyline – Push through enemy territory toward a safe zone
  • Modern weapons – Assault rifle, pistol and knife for close and mid-range fights
  • Multiple maps – Villages, forest camps and compounds to clear
  • Simple 3D FPS – Classic run-and-gun play with a health and lives display

PC Version and Compatibility

The key activates the Windows version on Steam and needs a 64-bit system running Windows 7, 8, 10 or 11. Minimum hardware is a 2 GHz dual-core CPU, 2 GB RAM, a GeForce 400 or Radeon HD 6000 series card with 2 GB of video memory, DirectX 11 and 2 GB of storage. The game is in English only, with no Polish, German, French, Italian or Spanish translation, and no controller support is listed.

Global Activation & What You Receive

You receive a digital Steam key for the standard game. It is a Global key with no regional restriction, so it works on a Steam account in any country. In the Steam client choose Games → Activate a Product on Steam, enter the code and the game is added to your library permanently.

Why Buy This Game?

Getting Out Alive suits players who want an inexpensive, uncomplicated shooter to play in short bursts. There is no lengthy tutorial or complex systems, just a clear goal and a handful of maps to fight through, and it runs on modest older PCs. Keep in mind that it is a compact indie project in English only, so it works best as a quick change of pace rather than a replacement for a big-budget campaign.
