Horror In Valkeala is a first-person horror puzzle game developed by Tero Lunkka and Valkeala Software, published by Tero Lunkka and released on 3 March 2022. Your journey begins at a church, and your goal is to find the hidden Valkeala logo somewhere inside a mental hospital while you avoid the deadly ghosts that haunt the open world around you.
Progress depends on opening the way forward. Doors can be unlocked with ordinary keys or keycards, while others react to secret paintings, burning torches or switches hidden in the rooms. Switches demand caution, because choosing the wrong one deals damage. Hidden portals carry you to new places, and movable objects can clear a path or reveal what lies behind them.
The setting moves from dim wooden rooms and a cold storage room full of hanging carcasses to snowy birch forests where a lone doorframe stands in the snow as a portal. A flashlight helps in the darkest corners, and a save system keeps your progress between sessions. Fourteen achievements reward careful exploration of every corner of the haunted world.
