In Hourglass you play as Aywa, a young adventurer travelling to Egypt to find her missing father, an archaeologist who never returned from his last expedition. The game is set in a version of history where ancient Egypt was far more technologically advanced than we imagine. Beyond exploring this ancient world, Hourglass is all about puzzles built on a unique core mechanic: you record your actions for a limited time, then time winds back to the start of the recording and a time-clone repeats what you did, so you can cooperate with yourself to open the way forward.
