Invisible, Inc. is a turn-based tactical espionage game developed and published by Klei Entertainment and released on 12 May 2015. The story takes place in the late 21st century, in a world where powerful corporations hold the real power and mercenary spies do their dirty work. Your agency has just been attacked and nearly wiped out, and only its founder, a handful of agents and her mysterious artificial intelligence have escaped. With the corporations hunting them, the survivors have very little time to rebuild their strength before they make one last desperate move.
You play as the Operator, the unseen strategist who guides the field agents from a distance and works side by side with the AI to break through corporate defences. Every infiltration happens in a procedurally generated facility, so the layout of rooms, guards, cameras, safes and exits changes from one mission to the next. Agents move in turns, peek through doors, hide behind cover, knock out or slip past guards and steal credits, gear and valuable data. Each turn the alarm level rises, the security response grows harsher, and you must decide how long to push your luck before heading for the exit.
Planning matters more than firepower, because the agents are fragile and a single mistake can turn a quiet job into a desperate escape. The AI can hack cameras, doors, turrets and other devices by spending power, while your team manages limited action points, items and augments. There are 10 unlockable agents, along with 6 alternate versions, and 6 starting programs that change how you break into the systems. Between missions you choose your next target on the world map, knowing that every journey costs precious hours from the time remaining before the final operation.
The game offers 5 game modes, from the main story campaign to tougher and more open-ended challenges, and its story is told with animated cutscenes and full voice acting.
