About Kerbal Space Program

Kerbal Space Program, developed by Squad and published by Private Division, puts you in charge of the space program of an alien race known as the Kerbals. You have access to an array of parts with which to assemble fully functional spacecraft, and each one flies, or fails to fly, based on realistic aerodynamic and orbital physics. Your goal is to launch your Kerbal crew into orbit and beyond while keeping them alive, so that they can explore the moons and planets of the Kerbol solar system and build bases and space stations that expand the reach of each expedition.

Building is at the heart of the game. Spaceships, rockets, planes and other vehicles can be made from any imaginable combination of parts, and every part has its own function that affects how the craft behaves. In the hangar you assemble spaceplanes for the runway, while in the vehicle assembly building tall multi-stage rockets take shape before they roll out to the launch pad. You take full control of your ship's setup to perform complex flight manoeuvres, and every launch teaches you something new about thrust, staging, balance and the path to a stable orbit.

The game features three modes. In Science Mode you perform experiments in space to unlock new technology and advance the knowledge of Kerbalkind. In Career Mode you oversee every aspect of the space program, including construction, strategy, funding and upgrades. In Sandbox you are free to build any spacecraft you can think of, with all parts and technology available. Along the way you hire, train and manage your Kerbal crew members and send them into space to become heroes, take them outside their ships for extra-vehicular activities, and dock spacecraft together to create space stations, huge starships and surface bases on new planets.

Exploration is just as rewarding. A whole star system with distinctive moons and planets waits for you, with detailed terrain on a vast scale. Satellites scan the ground to find biomes and anomalies, communication networks link your spacecraft with the Kerbal Space Center, and research extracts valuable information and resources from across the solar system. Many mods created by the community add even more possibilities. The game supports English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Japanese and Chinese (text) and runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. Kerbal Space Program is an excellent choice for anyone who enjoys creative building, physics and space flight, and for players who love learning through trial, error and the occasional spectacular explosion.
