About Knuckle Sandwich
Knuckle Sandwich is a quirky role playing game developed by Andy Brophy and published by Dinko and SUPERHOT PRESENTS in November 2023. You guide a young man through his first day in Bright City, a bustling island paradise on a fictional Australian island that hides a horrible secret. He needs a new job, new friends and a bit of luck, and soon gets pulled into a mystery revolving around a ludicrous gang and a fanatical cult.
Battles are turn based, yet you defeat enemies by completing minigames unique to the foe you are facing. These short challenges include rhythm games, shoot em ups, memory puzzles and quick time events, and there are more than 100 of them tied to each enemy and playable character. That keeps every fight fresh and full of surprises, so you never know what a new opponent will throw at you until the battle begins.
Between fights you explore vibrant city locations, take on odd jobs and meet a massive cast of characters, including several partners who join you along the way. The story is offbeat and personal with a strong focus on humour, mixing silly jokes with quieter moments about growing up and finding your place. A huge soundtrack with music by Nelward, Lizzy, Gyms, Barchboi and pngsequence gives the colourful pixel world plenty of energy.
