LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues is a brick-built action adventure developed by Traveller’s Tales and published by LucasArts, released for Windows on 18 February 2010. LEGO Indy is back in his biggest adventure yet, and this time the game covers all four movies. Alongside your favourite moments from The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, it brings a complete retelling of the three original adventures from the first LEGO Indiana Jones, built from all-new levels so that even familiar scenes feel like a whole new experience.
The adventure moves through dusty villages, jungle hillsides, temple mazes over molten lava and a cosy fifties diner, each one assembled from colourful bricks and full of things to smash and rebuild. Indy can grab almost anything in the environment to fight enemies, from chairs and swords to bottles and guns, which keeps every scuffle lively and slapstick. New vehicles, characters and abilities give the levels more variety, and the environments were the biggest LEGO worlds the studio had built at the time of release.
Collecting artifacts throughout the game unlocks more than 60 playable characters, including villains and supporting faces such as Marion Ravenwood, Mutt Williams, Short Round, René Belloq, Willie Scott, Marcus Brody, Dr. Henry Jones Sr. and Irina Spalko. Each character brings different skills for reaching hidden areas, so replaying levels with a new crew reveals extra secrets. The new drop-in, drop-out split-screen mode lets a second person join or leave at any moment, which makes it easy for family members to play together on one screen.
For the first time in the series you can also create your own levels and then play them, turning the game into a small construction kit of traps, enemies and puzzles. Full controller support makes the couch experience comfortable, and the modest hardware needs mean the game runs on almost any Windows PC. Text and menus are available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. The game is rated USK 12.
