About LONESTAR

LONESTAR is a sci-fi roguelike strategy game from Math Tide, published by Thermite Games in April 2025, that casts you as a bounty hunter in the LONESTAR Universe. The Bounty Hunter Association is recruiting, and every hunter who joins receives a free spaceship and a list of wanted criminals to track down. Battles follow the recognised rules of this universe: both sides accumulate Power for their own ship and then compete in a fair shockwave clash that decides the winner, with no surprise attacks allowed. Every run asks you to plan carefully, read your opponent and build an engine strong enough for the final showdown.

Each spaceship has its own expertise and close to a hundred exclusive units. The Association only provides the starting units, so the rest must be found and earned during the journey, and your choices shape what the ship becomes. Dozens of pilots are available, each with unique exclusive skills and a wide array of random talents, which makes every hunt play out differently. Units, pilots and ships combine with hundreds of treasures, each with its own special function, to create an enormous number of possible builds. An in-game encyclopedia collects data on most units and treasures so you can plan your strategy without guesswork.

Between bounties the Association follows the LONESTAR Universe Labor Protection Act and grants paid leave after every completed mission. These vacations are far from idle: you encounter unique events, make choices and gather resources that strengthen the next hunt. The Intelligence Center tracks nearly a hundred wanted criminals, including fifteen extremely dangerous boss-level felons, and you can study their profiles before each mission to adjust your tactics. New pilots and new wanted criminals keep arriving with updates, so the roster of hunters and targets continues to grow over time.

LONESTAR supports full controller play, including DualShock and DualSense pads, along with achievements, trading cards and cloud saves. Workshop support opens the door to community-made content, and the clean, colourful presentation keeps the busy battles readable as lasers and shockwaves fill the screen. Short runs make it easy to jump in for a single hunt, while the depth of units, treasures and pilots rewards long sessions of experimenting with new combinations. The game runs on Windows 10 and supports English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, French, German, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese and Latin American Spanish.
