About Little-Known Galaxy
Little-Known Galaxy is a cozy single-player RPG space adventure from the independent studio Carbon & Kay, released in 2024. You join the Space Alliance as a new captain-in-training and work with a quirky crew to solve the mysteries of an ancient relic found on the Grey Planet. Exploration, crafting and farming fill your days, and every new discovery raises questions about what lies further out among the stars.
Your ship is your home and your farm. Grow, nurture and harvest crops right aboard, even in planters fixed to the outer hull, then cook tasty recipes in an upgraded kitchen. A workbench lets you craft useful machines and decorations, and a huge range of furniture, wall patterns, floor textures and paths lets you shape your living quarters and deck space exactly as you like. Your Restoration Ray cleans up small messes, while upgrades from the Machine Shop restore broken or vacant areas and unlock new features and crew opportunities.
People matter most. You start with a tight-knit crew of 20, from families to singles, and build relationships through daily chats, gifts, story cinematics and missions. Ten singles, including an android, an alien and a genetic clone, can be befriended, dated and married once you upgrade to a large home. You can also hatch and raise cute little aliens called Xeno, hunt good, bad, neutral and wild microbes with your Microbe Detector, and help Hermy the hermit crab fill his museum with gems and artifacts.
Little-Known Galaxy runs on Windows and macOS and is available in English. Beyond the ship, far-away planets offer resources for new machines and tool upgrades, though wild lifeforms may need a zap from your trusty Laser Blaster. Mission objectives, crew morale, ship improvements and research all help you rank up, and each new rank brings credits, machines and decorations. Full controller support, character customization and an original soundtrack by Dale North round out a warm, relaxing package for players who love gentle life sims.
