About Lumencraft

Lumencraft is a top-down shooter that blends base building, tower defence and roguelike runs in a fully destructible underground world. It was developed by the Polish studio 2Dynamic Games, published by Star Drifters and Surefire.Games, and reached its full release on PC in February 2023. The story is set in 2221. For two centuries the last humans have lived without electricity or light, until survivors discover Lumen, a crystal full of energy that might be the final chance for mankind.

Scouts and miners founded a settlement deep underground and set out toward nearby Lumen deposits, but the darkness swallowed them. Now it is your turn to step into the endless tunnels. You drill new shafts, blast through walls with dynamite and mine valuable resources, all while swarms of creatures hunt for the light you bring. Every pixel of terrain can be destroyed, so you can carve your own paths, cut off enemies or open a quick escape route when a wave arrives sooner than planned.

Between expeditions you build and upgrade your base. Turrets, walls and other structures protect the settlement while you push further into the caves, and the base becomes the anchor of every decision. Do you spend Lumen on stronger weapons for yourself or on extra defences at home? Dynamic lights matter as much as firepower: your weapons and turrets light up the gloomy halls, and what stays in the dark is often what attacks you next.

Lumencraft offers several ways to play. A 27-mission campaign tells the full story of humanity’s struggle, procedurally generated maps deliver true roguelike runs, and custom game types let you mix tower defence, action or survival with your own starting technologies and goals. A built-in map editor and Steam Workshop support add a steady stream of community levels. You can also invite a friend for local co-op on one screen. There are 88 achievements to earn, and the game is rated 12.
