About METAL SLUG
METAL SLUG is a 2D run-and-gun arcade shooter by SNK, ported to PC by DotEmu. Originally released in arcades in 1996; Steam release date: 25 June 2015.
This is the very first Metal Slug, and the one that set the template: you run to the right through jungles, villages and enemy bases, firing at everything that moves while rescuing bearded prisoners who hand out new weapons. Heavy machine guns, rocket launchers and flame shots pop up regularly, and the SV-001 'Metal Slug' tank lets you roll over the opposition with its cannon. The hand-drawn animation is packed with small jokes, and enemy soldiers react with panic and comic flair. A friend can join for local co-op, and the PC version adds online play and leaderboards.

PC Version and Compatibility
Minimum requirements: Windows Vista/7/8, Pentium 4 2.4 GHz, Intel HD Graphics, DirectX 9.0c, 1 GB RAM, 500 MB storage. Available in English, French, Italian and Spanish. Polish and German are not supported.
