This standalone entry in the Men of War series combines the tactical depth of real-time strategy with direct control of individual soldiers and vehicles. Written with author Alexander Zorich, the story follows the Black Coats, the Soviet Naval Infantry known for their role in the Black Sea campaigns of the Second World War. Across 23 missions you fight through battles around Odessa, Sevastopol, Nikolaev and Constanta, coordinating amphibious landings, capturing fortifications and commanding armoured trains, boats and support units. Every soldier has his own inventory of weapons, ammunition and grenades, vehicles can be crewed and repaired, and cover and line of sight matter in every firefight. The detailed physics and destructible environments make each assault play out a little differently.
