About OZARK
OZARK is a dark, story driven side-scrolling action game developed by ALTER-BOY and published by ALTER-BOY and RLC, released in October 2026. The signal was only the beginning. After crash landing in a remote mountain range in the far reaches of Northern Canada, you find yourself entering a seemingly derelict facility where your partner’s signal was lost, and where nothing is quite what it seems. The key art sets the tone straight away, with armed soldiers, a helicopter and a storm of lightning over the snowy peaks, and the game itself quickly moves from that cold wilderness into the dark and bloody interior of the facility.
What starts as a routine rescue and recovery mission slowly evolves into the fight of your life. You have to survive untold horrors while trying to unravel the mysteries of the facility and put an end to macabre human experimentation. The story unfolds as you push deeper, so every new room raises fresh questions about what happened to your partner and to the people who worked there. The screenshots show the scale of the descent, from soldiers trading fire beside a truck at night to lonely figures aiming through blood red caverns and laboratories crowded with figures in orange suits.
Run, fight and survive through a fast paced side-scrolling experience. You battle your way through hostile environments, uncover the truth behind the facility and face relentless horrors as the mission spirals into something far more deadly. The action stays readable thanks to the side view, which keeps enemies, cover and hazards in front of you, while the heavy red lighting, scattered bodies and abandoned machinery like forklifts and crates build a grim atmosphere.
