About Rebel Galaxy Outlaw

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw is an open-world space combat and trading game developed by Double Damage Games. Steam release date: 22 September 2020.

You play Juno Markev, a smuggler who starts over with a battered ship in the dusty Dodge system. Take on bounty, cargo and escort jobs, trade goods between stations, fight cockpit dogfights against pirates and police, and upgrade or paint your ship. In-game radio stations, bars with pool and dice and a dry sense of humour give it a lived-in, space-trucker feel. Expect some crude language and violence.

Key Features

  • Cockpit dogfights – arcade-sim space combat.
  • Open sandbox – bounties, cargo and escorts.
  • Trading – buy low, sell high across systems.
  • Ship upgrades – many ships, parts and paint jobs.
  • Radio and bars – music, pool and dice games.

Related Games

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw is at its best when you are in the cockpit, and Elite Dangerous takes that further with a full-scale galaxy, realistic flight and the same mix of trading, bounty hunting and exploration. Players who want to grow from a lone pilot into a trading empire should look at X4: Foundations, where you eventually run fleets and stations across a living economy. Avorion leans into building your own ships block by block before taking them into battle, and Hardspace: Shipbreaker captures a similar working-class, blue-collar take on space life as you salvage ships for a living.
