Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy arrive on the Northstar Islands, where Dr. Eggman has teamed up with Fang to turn the islands' giant animals into Badniks. The levels follow the classic formula – loops, springs, hidden routes and rings – but are drawn in full 3D. Each hero has a different move, from Tails' flight to Knuckles' climbing, and the new Emerald Powers let you clone yourself, climb waterfalls or see hidden platforms. The whole story can be played with up to four players on one screen, and a separate online Battle mode supports up to eight.
