About Tales & Tactics

Tales & Tactics is a roguelike squad autobattler developed by Table 9 Studio and published by Yogscast Games. Full Steam release: 15 August 2024.

The game is framed as a tabletop RPG session leading up to the Grand Tournament. Across three acts you draft units such as Fae, Dragons, Treefolk, Skeletons and Orcs, give them equipment and place them on a hex board before each fight plays out automatically. Unit traits stack into synergies, so the real challenge is planning, and since there is no timer you can think through every turn. Optional online PvP is also available.

Key Features

  • Squad drafting – tanks, healers, mages, engineers and more.
  • Trait synergies – combine families to turn battles.
  • Three-act campaign – rivals and bosses on the way to the tournament.
  • No time pressure – plan every move at your own pace.
  • Online PvP – test your squads against other players.
