About Tempest Rising
Tempest Rising is a real-time strategy game by Slipgate Ironworks, published by 3D Realms and released in April 2025. Set on an alternate Earth after a nuclear war, it pits factions against each other in a struggle for Tempest – a mysterious, energy-rich resource spreading across the land.
In the spirit of classic 90s RTS games, you build bases, harvest resources and command tanks, infantry and aircraft. Two story campaigns follow the Global Defense Forces and the Tempest Dynasty, and skirmish against AI, online PvP and Steam Workshop mods add replay value. Expect frequent combat violence.
