About Unrailed!
Unrailed! is a chaotic railroad construction game from Indoor Astronaut, published by Daedalic Entertainment and released in 2020. A train is always rolling forward, and your job is to lay track in front of it across endless procedurally generated worlds before it runs out of rails. Master encounters with the locals, upgrade the train and, above all, keep it from derailing.
Building the line is a constant scramble. You gather wood and iron, craft new pieces of track and lay them ahead of the locomotive, but there is only one tool of each type, so passing the axe or pickaxe at the right moment becomes part of the fun. Coordination is essential, because the journey grows more demanding with every station and a single forgotten task can stop everything. Water tanks need refilling, obstacles need clearing and the train never waits.
Every world is unique. Distinct biomes, from green meadows to deserts and frozen tundra, come with a dynamic weather system and a day and night cycle, and four difficulty levels let you choose how hectic things get. In Endless mode more than ten upgradable wagons modify the train, from an atomic engine to an improved crafting wagon or a supercharger. Quick and Sandbox modes support up to four players, Versus pits two teams of two against each other, and unlockable characters plus a replay system add extra variety.
Unrailed! runs on Windows, macOS and Linux and is available in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Czech, Turkish, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. Simple controls make it easy to hand a gamepad to anyone, and split keyboard or split controller modes let several people share one device on the couch.
