About Wayward Strand

Wayward Strand is a narrative adventure game developed and published by Ghost Pattern. Steam release date: 15 September 2022.

Wayward Strand takes place in 1978 on the coast of Australia, aboard an airship that has been turned into a hospital for elderly residents. You play Casey Beaumaris, a curious fourteen-year-old who spends three days on the ship while her mother works there as a nurse. The ship runs on its own clock: residents chat, rest, argue and remember whether you are with them or not, so you can never see everything in one visit. You choose where to go and whom to talk to, listen to their stories and slowly piece together the lives and secrets of the people on board. There is no combat and no puzzles to block your path, just conversations, small discoveries and a quiet, moving story about growing older. The hand-drawn art and full English voice acting give each character real warmth.
