About West of Dead
West of Dead is a twin-stick cover shooter with roguelite structure, developed by Upstream Arcade and published by Raw Fury. Released on Steam on 18 June 2020.
Purgatory, Wyoming, 1888: a land of gun smoke, sinners, wendigos and witches that reshapes itself from the memories of the souls passing through. You play William Mason, a dead man voiced by Ron Perlman, who wakes with only the memory of a figure in black. Every run drops you into procedurally generated hunting grounds where light matters: you ignite lanterns to expose enemies, dodge behind cover that can break, and pick the right moment to return fire. Weapons, items and upgrades you find decide how far you get before death sends you back to start again.
