About Wild Woods
Wild Woods is an action adventure about teamwork and woodland critters, developed by Octofox Games and published by Daedalic Entertainment. It was released on 9 December 2024 for Windows. One to four players take on the role of brave little cats escorting their wooden wagon on a long journey through a dangerous forest, and clever teamwork is the key to getting through, because the road is full of obstacles.
Daytime is all about gathering. You chop, collect and haul resources through the forest, then spend them on improving your trusty wagon so it can survive the trials ahead. The top-down view shows the whole camp at once, from the wagon and its glowing beacon to the paths, bridges and clearings around it, so it is easy to see where help is needed most.
Things get risky when the sun sets. Bandit bunnies and badgers rally to attack, and the cats must defend the wagon while making sure the beacon fire never dies out. Each adventure follows its own course, and you decide how to approach its dangers: stacking challenging encounters earns extra rewards and a shot at the biggest prize, while a safer route allows more risk-free collection of resources. Choosing your own level of risk is part of the thrill.
Wild Woods adapts to the way your group likes to play. Sessions can take place on one shared screen, across the network or as a mix of both, and the game is fully playable alone as well. While you chase new high scores, you unlock new skins for your favourite band of cats, and a gamepad is recommended for the best feel. Wild Woods is rated USK 12.
