About XCOM: Enemy Unknown
XCOM: Enemy Unknown is a strategy game by Firaxis Games, published by 2K in October 2012. It places you in command of XCOM, a secret paramilitary organisation defending against a terrifying global alien invasion. A re-imagining of the original XCOM, it brings an entirely new invasion story, enemies and technologies.
Research alien technologies, build and manage a fully operational base, plan missions and control soldiers in battle. Tactical turn-based gameplay is coupled with action sequences and on-the-ground combat. Recruit, customise and grow unique soldiers, detect and intercept the alien threat, deploy air units such as the Interceptor and Skyranger, and take on over 70 unique missions while negotiating with governments around the world.
