Ancient Kingdoms captures the spirit of early-2000s MMORPGs in a top-down world you can play alone or with friends. Choose a class, recruit AI mercenaries who fill classic roles such as tank and healer, and head out into a large world of towns, wilderness and dungeons. Monsters roam in camps, rare bosses spawn on timers and loot drops from named enemies, just like the online games of old. Factions react to who you kill, quests send you across continents, and crafting and gathering support your build. It is a nostalgic, unhurried RPG for players who miss the slow grind and sense of discovery of the classics.
