MythForce is a first-person roguelite action game developed and published by Beamdog. Steam release date: 12 September 2023.
MythForce turns a dungeon crawl into an animated 80s cartoon, complete with a theme-song intro and episodic chapters. Choose one of four heroes, such as the knight, the rogue, the mage or the ranger, and fight through procedurally arranged castles, crypts and temples full of skeletons, beasts and bosses. Melee and ranged combat use dodges, blocks and special abilities, and you collect loot, gold and upgrades that persist between runs so each defeat makes you stronger. Play alone or team up with up to three friends online, mixing class abilities to clear the hordes. Bright, cel-shaded visuals and a light-hearted tone keep it fun.
