About Binary Domain

Binary Domain is a squad-based third-person shooter developed by Devil's Details and published by SEGA, released on 26 April 2012. The machine age has begun in this immersive and atmospheric story, where you must regain control of a futuristic Tokyo from an emerging robotic threat. The year is 2080, and Dan Marshall and his squad are sent to bring the robotic community under control as machines begin to infiltrate society and slowly take over undetected, leaving humans redundant in their wake.

Encounters with highly intelligent robotic enemies require you to think tactically, make tough real-time moral decisions and build up trust with the members of your squad to guide them to safety and success. Tokyo is split into two layers: a run-down, derelict lower city and a clean, affluent upper city, and the fight takes you through both. Under the pressure of battle, the consequence system means that every action, every choice and every word you say affects what happens next.

The robots are fully destructible and highly resilient, and they adapt to the damage they sustain. That encourages you to analyse each enemy, find its weaknesses and take it down in the most efficient way, whether by shooting off limbs or targeting vital parts. Alongside a full armoury of unique weapons that you can modify, you choose which skills to focus on so your loadout fits the way you like to fight.

The game runs on Windows XP, Vista or 7 and supports 5 languages with full audio: English, German, French, Italian and Spanish. The minimum setup calls for an Intel Core 2 Duo at 2.66 GHz or AMD equivalent, 2 GB of RAM on XP or 3 GB on Vista and 7, an NVIDIA GeForce GT220 or ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT with 512 MB, and 8 GB of free disk space. It is rated USK 16 and suits players who enjoy cover shooters, robot battles and choices that shape the story.
