About Vanquish
Vanquish is a sci-fi action shooter from director Shinji Mikami, developed by PlatinumGames and brought to PC by Little Stone Software and SEGA in May 2017. You gear up in the Augmented Reaction Suit as government operative Sam Gideon and become the ultimate weapon. The suit combines unrivalled firepower with superhuman speed and agility, letting you take down a huge variety of deadly robots. This PC version includes all DLC weapons, an unlocked framerate and unlocked resolutions up to 4K and beyond, making it the definitive way to play. War has accelerated, and the pace never lets up.
PlatinumGames brings its signature action mechanics to the shooter genre. Combat is fast, fluid and frenetic: you boost across the battlefield on your knees, evade incoming fire and trigger Augmented Reaction mode to slow down time for precise shots. Kinetic melee moves give you unique offensive and defensive options that change with your loadout, so a close-range strike feels different with every weapon you carry. The vast arsenal of high-tech guns can be swapped and upgraded during battle, and moving between cover and boosting into the open is the key to surviving the heaviest firefights.
Legions of enemies stand in your way, from robot grunts to epic giant boss battles, and all of them use smart AI to flank and pressure you. You fight your way through the SC-01 Providence space colony, a high-tech sci-fi battleground of the future filled with towering structures, wide arenas and spectacular explosions. Every stage escalates the action with new enemy types and set pieces, and the bosses demand quick reactions and smart use of the suit's abilities to bring them down. Short breathers between battles keep the story of the colony moving forward.
Challenge and competition keep you coming back. A rewarding scoring system and multiple difficulty modes ensure challenging replayability, and leaderboards let you race to the top. Enhanced PC graphical options include anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, SSAO lighting, scalable texture and shadow quality and post-processing effects. Voice overs, subtitles and menus can be combined in any language you like. The game runs on Windows 7, 8.1 or 10 and supports English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Japanese, all with full audio.
