About Flashback 2
Flashback 2 is a sci-fi action adventure published by Microids and released in November 2023. It is the sequel to Flashback, the 1992 classic that helped define cinematic action games and is still remembered among the most influential titles of its era. Paul Cuisset, the creator of the original game, returns as designer, and you once again take control of Conrad B. Hart, the fearless agent of the Galactic Bureau of Investigation.
The story takes place in the 22nd century. The peace of the United Worlds is threatened by the Morphs, a shapeshifting alien race led by the ruthless General Lazarus, who are preparing a final attack to enslave every civilization in the Solar System. Conrad sets out to find his lifelong friend Ian and to stop the invasion, helped by a few trusted allies and uncovering twists and revelations along the way.
At his side is A.I.S.H.A., the Adaptive Integrated SHapeshifting Armory. This lethal weapon is enhanced with combat AI and can adapt to different situations, giving Conrad flexible firepower in battles against Morph soldiers, drones and bosses. Combat mixes with platforming, exploration and puzzle-solving, so you will climb, jump and search the environment as much as you shoot, in the spirit of the original game.
The adventure moves through varied sci-fi and cyberpunk locations rendered in 3D, from the crowded neon streets and markets of New Tokyo to futuristic New Washington, space installations and a mysterious alien jungle. Side characters, terminals and hidden paths reward curious players. Flashback 2 is rated 6 for fantasy violence and gunfights, which makes it suitable for a broad audience of action fans.
