About Hold The Mine
Hold The Mine is a roguelike survival strategy game developed by Hookaria Games and published by Goblinz Publishing together with Gamirror Games, launched in Early Access on 17 February 2026. You take charge of a sturdy dwarf who explores a long-forgotten mine, gathers precious resources and builds structures that work together with the heroes found along the way. When night falls a cursed tower sends relentless waves of monsters towards the entrance, and your goal is to hold the line and survive until the sun rises again.
Each day follows a clear rhythm. You guide your dwarf through the mine with a limited number of expeditions, and every expedition lets you mine several blocks in a row along a route you plan in advance. Choosing an efficient path is the key decision: deeper tunnels promise richer ore and better finds, yet venturing too far into the unknown exposes you to dangers lurking in the dark. More than twenty kinds of blocks wait to be discovered, each with its own rewards and surprises.
The resources you bring back are spent on buildings and relics. More than seventy-five of them exist, each with unique effects and powers, and blueprints found in the depths unlock new options during a run. Smart combinations are what make a mine strong, as some structures boost your income while others strengthen defenders or trigger battle-changing powers at the right moment. Because every run offers different blueprints and layouts, each attempt pushes you to plan a fresh strategy.
Heroes are the backbone of your night defence. Twelve of them can be freed from their prisons inside the mine, and together they offer more than fifty abilities to unlock. Mysterious runes and exotic fruits found while digging raise their stats and open new skills, so you can shape a team that fits your buildings. If the monsters break through and blow up the mine door, the run ends, but each attempt teaches you more about the synergies that lead to longer and deeper runs.
