About Lords and Villeins

Lords and Villeins is a medieval city-building and economy simulation developed by Honestly Games and published by Fulqrum Publishing. Steam release date: 10 November 2022.

The crown has entrusted you with a new land, and it is your duty to make it prosper. Instead of micromanaging every villager, you work with whole families: zone a plot, build their house and they run their own business, keep stock, set aside produce for taxes and trade with neighbours and caravans in a free market. Your job is to regulate the economy, secure critical resources and keep growth stable, choosing anything from heavy taxation and redistribution to a laissez-faire market. Logistics, storage and travel distances matter more as the settlement grows, and families grow, form relationships and pass on their trades across generations. Modules and difficulty sliders let you tune the experience.

Key Features

  • Family management – whole households, not single villagers.
  • Free-market simulation – families trade on their own.
  • Taxes and policy – shape the economy your way.
  • Production chains – 90+ resources to manage.
  • Custom difficulty – modules and sliders.
