About Lost Skies

Lost Skies is an open-world survival adventure developed by Bossa Studios and published by Balor Games, released for Windows on 17 September 2025. It invites you to chart a course through a breathtaking but fractured world, a sky scattered with floating islands that are all that remain of ancient civilisations. Your journey takes you through their remnants in search of the mysteries behind their downfall, while you harness advanced technology to overcome challenges and push the boundaries of human ingenuity in a sky that is full of both wonder and danger.

Exploring ancient ruins is at the heart of the adventure. There you use Atlas, the mysterious power that keeps the world afloat, to solve puzzles and recover the precious technology left behind by those who came before. Danger lurks on land and in the air alike: turrets and drones hunt you across the islands, and colossal beings that have roamed the skies since they brought about humanity’s destruction lead to epic sky battles. Getting around is a pleasure in itself, with a physics-based grappling hook, a hang glider and a wingsuit for climbing cliffs and leaping between islands.

Your journey is defined by the skyship you create, which serves as both your home and your weapon. The deep ship crafting system lets you place parts freely to construct a flying fortress as unique as your imagination, balancing durability, agility and firepower as you tailor it to the challenges ahead. No two skyships are the same, and moving seamlessly between distant horizons and breathtaking landmarks makes the open world feel like it is yours to conquer, one daring move at a time.

Beyond the main voyage, the intuitive Island Creator lets you design and build custom islands and share them with the community through the Workshop, while downloading other explorers’ creations expands your adventure. You can set off alone or team up with other players on the same journey. Full controller support includes DualShock and DualSense pads, and the game is available in nine languages, including English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. It is rated USK 12.
