About MirrorMoon EP
MirrorMoon EP is a game about mystery and exploration set in outer space, developed and published by the Italian studio Santa Ragione in September 2013. Your travels begin on a red planet with a unique moon and then stretch across whole galaxies. There is no long tutorial and very little text, so the game trusts you to look around, test ideas and slowly understand how this strange universe works.
At the heart of the journey sits the cockpit of an unknown spacecraft. Its panels look almost indecipherable at first, yet each lever, dial and screen has a purpose. Little by little you learn to read the controls, locate distant planets and travel to them. The single player part blends adventure and exploration with navigation based puzzle solving, and figuring out the ship is a big part of the fun.
Each planet holds artifacts, buildings and puzzles on its surface, hidden in striking low poly scenery with bold colours. Every galaxy contains a thousand star systems, and you can share Galaxy Maps with other players. The first explorers to land on a planet get to name its star system, and that name stays bound to the star for every traveller who finds it later. The full mysteries of the game open up when explorers work together.
The original MirrorMoon was nominated for the Nuovo Award at the Independent Games Festival 2013. It offers 10 achievements. It runs on Windows XP SP3 or later and supports English. The minimum setup needs a 2.0 GHz CPU, 2 GB of RAM, a 512 MB graphics card and 200 MB of storage, so it suits almost any PC.
