About SANABI: The Revenant
SANABI: The Revenant is a stylish dystopian action-platformer developed by WONDER POTION and published by NEOWIZ. It was released on 8 November 2023 for Windows. You play as a legendary retired veteran who is called upon for one last operation: to ascend a mega-city ruled by a corrupt conglomerate. He was chosen because of his signature chain-hook prosthetic arm and his ability to manoeuvre quickly and defeat enemies before they can react.
The mission is to hunt down a mysterious entity known as SANABI and uncover the corporate secrets hidden deep within the city. The giant chain-hook arm is both your way of moving and your main weapon. With it you jump over cliffs and skyscrapers, dash through bullets and traps and take down powerful enemies, chaining swings and strikes into fluid sequences that reward precise timing and quick decisions.
The setting is Mago, a high-tech mega-city ruled by a corrupt conglomerate, or at least that is what it was 24 hours ago. After a sudden blackout, all of its citizens mysteriously disappeared and the city was left in total chaos. Neon signs still glow above empty streets, rain falls on abandoned alleys, and every district hides clues about what really happened. Exploring the depths of the city slowly reveals the truth behind the disappearance.
Along the way you meet Mari, a brilliant hacker prodigy and drone rider. Mari can open locked doors, reveal enemy weaknesses and uncover encrypted information. She is lovely and reliable, if perhaps a little too chatty, and she might be the key to finding SANABI. The game runs on modest hardware and needs only 1 GB of storage. SANABI: The Revenant is rated USK 16.
