About Exit the Gungeon

Exit the Gungeon is an arcade-style spin-off of Enter the Gungeon, developed by Dodge Roll and Singlecore and published by Devolver Digital. It was released on 17 March 2020. The game picks up right after the original, following the misfit Gungeoneers as they try to survive a series of increasingly dangerous elevators and countless waves of enemies.

The Gungeon has become a paradox and is collapsing, so the only way is up. Blessed by the magic of the Sorceress, your gun changes rapidly as you ascend. The better you play and the higher your combo climbs, the more powerful the form your weapon takes, which rewards clean dodging and steady aim over cautious play.

Fights are fast and dense with bullets. You battle the last and most bitter of the Gundead at a frantic pace, rolling through bullet patterns and hopping between platforms on each moving elevator. Between climbs you slow down just long enough to chat with familiar faces and meet a few new ones in the hub.

Shifting rooms, enemies, bosses, bizarre weapons and items combine so that no two attempts to escape feel the same. Exit the Gungeon is rated USK 12 and suits players who enjoy short, replayable arcade sessions and colourful bullet-dodging action.
