Sands of Salzaar is a fantastical tale of an exotic land, developed by Han-Squirrel Studio and published by XD, with its full release in December 2021. The Old Empire has fallen, leaving rival tribes to fight for control of the great desert. Little do they know of the seeds of darkness which grow in the shadows with each passing day. This mix of RPG, strategy and adventure lets you witness a world in constant flux, driven by living systems where every playthrough offers a unique experience.
Your destiny is yours to command. You can forge grand alliances, master the markets, or walk your own path with the one you love. Along the way you cross paths with the most formidable souls of the desert, from ruthless leaders and aging heroes to eloquent politicians. You can declare war, or make peace and team up with rival factions, yet every choice carries a price. The world reacts to your decisions, so each run tells a different story of power and survival on the sands.
Choose from 10 heroes, each offering a specialized skill tree to master as you conquer cities and lands. You roam across a giant map to encounter various characters and enter deadly dungeons for boss fights and loot. The v1.2 Shatter to Reforge update added a story arc for Berserkers with three distinct story paths and new skill trees, a heroes interaction feature with personal stories uncovered through dialogue, random backstories for generated characters, a keyboard control mode for combat and an improved attack speed system that also benefits your troops.
The built in visual MOD editor lets you modify or expand the game world without writing a single line of code, crafting your own legends and stories within this boundless realm. The game also offers 51 achievements and cloud saves. It runs on 64-bit Windows 8 or Windows 10 and supports English and Simplified Chinese with full Chinese audio.
