About SimCity 3000 Unlimited
SimCity 3000 Unlimited is a classic city-building simulation developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. It invites you to create and control your urban empire with more power than ever before. The package includes all the features of the original SimCity 3000 and adds a great deal more on top, from new architecture and new scenarios to new disasters. It brings back the classic strategy gaming that made SimCity 3000 popular and opens up a whole world of city planning and building possibilities for both newcomers and returning mayors.
Variety is at the heart of this edition of the game. Two new building sets from Asia and Europe let you re-create cities from around the globe with hundreds of new buildings, and you can still select hundreds of buildings from the original SimCity 3000. Over 95 world landmarks are available to spruce up your city. If none of them fits your vision, the Building Architect Plus tool lets you create unique masterpieces of your own design for your metropolis, so every skyline you build can look different from the last one.
For a structured challenge, you can take on 13 challenging scenarios, including one in which you reunify East and West Berlin. When those are done, the SimCity Scenario Creator lets you make your own scenarios. Life as a mayor is not always peaceful, either. You can inflict nine disasters on your city, including toxic clouds, a plague of locusts, plummeting space junk and an unforgiving whirlpool, and four of these disasters are new to this edition. Protecting your citizens from them, or unleashing them for fun, is entirely up to you as the one in charge.
SimCity 3000 Unlimited runs on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 10. It needs a 1.8 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM with 1 GB recommended, a 3D graphics card compatible with DirectX 9.0c and 1.6 GB of storage, plus a mouse and keyboard. The game is available in English, German, French, Italian, Dutch and Swedish. Whether you want to follow scenarios or simply build freely, it remains a timeless pick for anyone who enjoys planning and growing a city of their own.
