About Supreme Commander 2
Supreme Commander 2 is a large-scale real-time strategy game developed by Gas Powered Games, published by Square Enix and released in March 2010. It promises brutal battles on a massive scale, in which you wage war by creating enormous customisable armies and experimental war machines that can change the balance of power at any given moment. The game is set 25 years after the events of Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance.
You take the role of one of three enigmatic commanders, each representing a unique faction with a rich story. The United Earth Federation, the Cybran Nation and the Illuminate have all been completely redesigned from the original game, and each brings its own units and style of war. The single-player campaign features three character-driven storylines, adding a personal, human side to a conflict once told mainly through warring factions and the politics behind them.
On the battlefield you command enormous armies made up of customisable land, air and naval units. Experimental units return with new designs, greatly enhanced looks and some new tricks that can be unlocked through research. Research is central to the experience: you can study new technologies and units and deploy them right on the battlefield, upgrading a base-level tank into a high-powered, multi-barrelled monster with anti-air weapons by the end of a match. The redesigned Strategic Mode interface is faster, takes up less screen space and gives clearer feedback, while new rendering technology creates visually spectacular environments.
