About WAR RATS: The Rat em Up
WAR RATS: The Rat em Up is a side-scrolling roguelite shooter from wootusart Industries, set in Ratopia, a world where rats are the only form of life. The cyborg hive mind Techno Rat wants to consume all flesh and turn it to metal, and you lead the resistance.
You run and gun alongside your own troops, recruit units, build structures, collect gear and upgrade weapons to push the front line forward. Inspired by Kingdom: New Lands and the Precinct Assault mode of Future Cop: LAPD, it mixes shooting, tower defense and light RPG progression, all in hand-drawn sprites that recall the gory action games of the 90s.
