About Warlords Battlecry 2
Warlords Battlecry 2 is a fantasy strategy game from Strategic Studies Group, published by Ubisoft and first released in 2002. It offers a unique combination of role-playing heroes and real-time strategy gameplay, and invites you into an epic battle for possession of all sixty-seven regions of Etheria. From your home citadel you expand to conquer neighbouring regions, occupy enemy citadels and take control of their forces.
At the heart of the game is your hero. You build hero warriors and develop them into unique classes such as Death Knight, Assassin or Ice Mage, choosing from 12 different hero races and 20 hero classes. Your hero and his retinue are carried forward from battle to battle, growing stronger and more powerful, so every victory shapes the army you lead into the next fight.
Over 100 spells are spread across 11 spheres of magic, giving every hero powerful tools on the battlefield. As your treasury grows, merchants offer special items for sale, mercenaries offer to join you in battle and followers flock to your banner. You will ultimately engage in duels to the death with other heroes and even have to quell uprisings by your vanquished foes, so holding territory matters as much as taking it.
Warlords Battlecry 2 runs on Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8 and is available in English and Polish. A random map generator and a map editor give you practically unlimited replay value, and the GOG release includes extras such as the manual, a map reference guide, wallpapers and the soundtrack.
