About Where the Water Tastes Like Wine

Where the Water Tastes Like Wine is a narrative adventure developed by Dim Bulb Games with Serenity Forge and published by Good Shepherd Entertainment. It launched on Steam for Windows, Mac and Linux on 28 February 2018.

After losing a bet, you must walk across a folkloric, Depression-era United States, paying off a debt by gathering stories. A 3D map lets you roam at your own pace, while hand-drawn 2D scenes introduce the strangers you meet. Stories work as the game's currency: you collect them, retell them around campfires to 16 signature characters, and watch them grow and change with each telling. Pair the right tale with each traveller's mood and they slowly open up, revealing the true stories of migrant workers, preachers and people pushed to the margins. The writing comes from a team of noted authors, and the folk soundtrack sets the tone.
