About Worms Revolution
Worms Revolution is a turn-based artillery strategy game from Team17, the British studio behind the long-running Worms series. It was released on PC in October 2012 and brought the series a fresh 3D look while keeping the classic 2D battlefield that fans know. Teams of heavily armed worms take turns to aim, throw, fire and blow up their rivals across destructible landscapes, and the last team with a worm still standing wins.
This entry added three big ideas. The first is worm classes. Teams can now mix Soldiers, Scouts, Scientists and Heavies. Scouts are small and fast and can squeeze through gaps, Heavies deal more damage but move slowly, and Scientists heal the team each turn and build stronger sentry guns. You can unlock 16 worms in total, four of each class, and take any mix of them into a match, which changes how every team plays.
The second idea is dynamic water. Water now flows across the terrain, pools in holes and washes worms away. New tools use it on purpose: the Water Bomb, Water Pistol and Water Strike, plus the Plug Hole utility that drains it away. The third is physics objects, destructible props that release fire, poison or water when they explode. Combined with returning favourites such as the bazooka, holy hand grenade and exploding sheep, these give each turn many ways to cause chaos.
Solo players get 32 campaign missions and 20 puzzle missions that test precise aiming and clever weapon use. Comedian Matt Berry narrates as Don Keystone, a wildlife documentary maker, with a script by BAFTA-winning writer Dean Wilkinson. Battles take place across four themes: beach, sewer, farmyard and spooky. Up to four players can fight locally on one PC or online in Deathmatch, Forts or Classic mode, and a level editor lets you build your own arenas. There are 34 achievements and the game is rated 12.

PC Version and Compatibility
Worms Revolution runs on modest hardware. The minimum is Windows XP, a dual-core processor, 2 GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT with 256 MB, Intel HD 3000 or Radeon HD 3650 with 512 MB of video memory. A broadband connection is needed for online play. English has full voice-over, and text is available in German, French, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Russian and Czech.
