About 7 Billion Humans

7 Billion Humans is a programming puzzle game developed and published by Tomorrow Corporation, the studio behind Human Resource Machine, Little Inferno and World of Goo. You automate swarms of office workers to solve puzzles inside your very own parallel computer made of people. As a follow-up to the award-winning Human Resource Machine, it keeps the same dry office humour and the same satisfying loop of writing a small program, pressing play and watching your staff carry it out. Now there are simply far more humans to manage at once.

The game offers over 60 levels of programming puzzles, which the developers proudly describe as 77.777778% more levels than Human Resource Machine. A whole new programming language sits at the core. Where Human Resource Machine was based on Assembly and executed by a single worker, 7 Billion Humans uses an all-new language that lots of workers execute at the same time. That shift turns each puzzle into a question of coordination, since every instruction runs across the whole crowd and small changes can ripple through the entire office floor.

You do not need any coding background to begin. The game teaches everything you need to know, and even useless skills can be put to work. If a level leaves you stressed, friendly hint and skip systems help your career keep climbing so you can return to the tricky puzzle later. Between levels, incomprehensible cutscenes leave you delighted and bewildered in equal measure. A new soundtrack by Kyle Gabler accompanies the whole climb up the corporate ladder, adding warmth to every spreadsheet-like challenge.

7 Billion Humans runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. On Windows, the minimum requirements are Windows XP or later, a 2.0 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM, a graphics card that supports Shader Model 2.0 or greater, DirectX 9.0c and 200 MB of storage. The GOG version is available in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Korean, Dutch, Polish, Russian and Traditional Chinese. This GOG.COM key is global and adds the game to your GOG library.
