About Airborne Kingdom
Airborne Kingdom is a sky city builder developed and published by The Wandering Band LLC. It was released on 7 March 2022 for Windows. Legends tell of a mythical floating metropolis that once united all nations under its banner before vanishing, leaving its allies isolated and sliding into decline. Aeons later, a new floating city takes to the skies to rekindle those tales, and you are in charge of it.
You grow the city from a fledgling town into a bustling metropolis stretching across the horizon. Housing and service buildings keep the community going, research unlocks new technologies, and citizens need homes, food, medicine and assorted creature comforts. At the same time the city has to stay airborne, so you balance air drag with propulsion, lift with mass and keep an eye on the ever-present tilt as new districts are added.
Roaming the skies of a vast, randomised world, you locate raw materials on the ground and process them into the resources needed for expansion. Terrain-bound kingdoms struggle below, and completing their quests earns their allegiance, spreading the influence of your city and building its legacy. Along the way you uncover secret shrines, lost temples, deserted cities and forgotten ruins that reveal the history of the first Airborne Kingdom.
You can optimise every district, focus on exploration and diplomacy or simply relax as the city drifts through the clouds. Creative Mode removes resource limits and time pressure so you can design the greatest floating city in history, and a vibrant art style paired with a calming soundtrack sets a peaceful tone throughout.
