About Conarium

Conarium is a chilling Lovecraftian adventure developed by Zoetrope Interactive, published by Iceberg Interactive and released on 6 June 2017. It follows four scientists and their attempt to challenge what we normally consider the absolute limits of nature. Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's novella At the Mountains of Madness, the story is largely set after the original tale.

You, as Frank Gilman, open your eyes inside a room filled with strange, pulsating noises, while a queer device on the table casts dancing patterns of light on the walls. You remember only that you are in Upuaut, an Antarctic base near the South Pole, and the place is deserted. Soon you learn that after using the device you died and returned subtly changed, speaking of strange memories and strange places.

Explore the Antarctic base as well as dreams and visions, study clues and unlock secrets, all while avoiding macabre beings at all cost. The suspense-filled story hides plenty of secrets and Easter eggs and leads to multiple endings. Unreal Engine 4 delivers ominous but wonderful graphics, and a haunting, atmospheric soundtrack completes the descent.

It is a single-player first-person horror adventure with puzzles. It runs on Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit), macOS and Linux and supports English audio and text, plus text in French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Hungarian and Simplified Chinese. The minimum configuration requires an Intel Core i3-4160 at 3.6 GHz, 6 GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 480/570/670 or Radeon HD 5870/5850, DirectX 11 and 8 GB of free disk space. The game is rated USK 16 and suits players who enjoy cosmic horror, slow-burning mysteries and first-person exploration.
